 FROM a $50K GAMBLE to
GONE in 60 MINUTES:
The BOOK that made ERIC UNFORGETTABLE

When Eric Thayne mentioned he wanted to write a book "someday," he wasn't stalling — he was thinking. Known for helping influencers grow through video content, Eric had built a thriving business powered by Facebook ads. But he was starting to envision something bigger. He didn't just want to be the tactics guy. He wanted to build a movement around what it really means to be
a Creator.

 From "SOMEDAY" to STAGE-READY

The idea was still forming. Without a deadline breathing down his neck, the book could wait.

That changed when he got invited to speak at Funnel Hacking Live — one of the biggest events in marketing, with over 5,000 people. When I heard he might get a spot, I reached out: "If you're going to be one of 20+ speakers, you need a book. That's how they'll remember you."

Eric's invitation made sense once you knew the full story. For years, he'd been known for helping influencers grow through video content. But his own business ran on something completely different: Facebook ads. When Facebook's algorithm shifted, that model collapsed overnight.

Suddenly, Eric was forced to take his own medicine — actually creating the daily content he'd been teaching others to make. It worked better than he'd expected. That's what caught Russell Brunson's attention and earned him the speaking invitation.

 The STRATEGY BEHIND the MESSAGE

It worked better than he'd expected. That's what caught Russell Brunson's attention and earned him the speaking invitation.

But there was a problem: the audience expected tactical advice. Eric wanted to share something deeper — his ideas about creativity and stepping into your role as a Creator.

Eric interviewed several publishers, but came back to us because, as he put it, we were the only ones who "understood the whole strategy."

While others offered to help him write, we helped him figure out how the book could bridge what people expected from him and the message he actually wanted to share.

"There's power in not just writing a book, but writing a good book — something you put a lot of effort into, that you really care about. Not just throwing something out there, but putting your ideas and stories into something that's going to last forever."

The BOOK that BEGAN a MOVEMENT

We had just 9 weeks to make it happen — an unusually tight timeline that demanded everything we had. Eric took a $50k gamble, not only in the book but also in investing in a print run large – enough to put a copy on every single chair in the arena.

By September, almost 5,000 copies of Create, Don't Capture were waiting for the audience. Eric took the stage on Day One. By the end of his talk, all the extra copies in the room were gone and fans were lined up during breaks to get theirs autographed. Eric walked away with just 40 copies the crew managed to save from the special edition print run.

Today, video content helps Eric attract and convert leads. But the book is what makes his message stick and opens doors to podcasts and speaking opportunities. In the 18+ months since, his creator movement has generated over one million dollars in new business revenue.

ERIC THAYNE got his start in the social media world 10 years ago helping companies and influencers build their audience and get customers with shareable content. In a few years, he helped produce over 500 million video views online, and his content was featured by some of the biggest online media outlets  including People, Cosmopolitan, Good Morning America, HuffPost, Mashable, BuzzFeed, and more. More recently, he built his own personal brand using content on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. He has over 180,000 followers on social media, and his content reaches more than half a million people every month. Now Eric helps entrepreneurs, movement builders, and leaders grow their influence, their brand, and their business with powerful content systems and strategies.

"Other publishers offered to help me write a book. Niche was the only one who understood the strategy behind it."
- Eric
